Content

  • Introduction

When we are working with the content app, we can do many things.

Text can be plain or formatted.

We can include headings for accessibility (such as Introduction above and Considerations below).

Images can be aligned to text, which allows for text wrapping.——————>girl raising hand

Text can be turned into hyperlinks to websitesemail addresses, or documents.

    Considerations

Rules for Section Editors to Follow: (example of a numbered/bulleted list)

    1. Remember: "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should." -- Anonymous
    2. Keep text black, and avoid using light colors like yellow or pink. If you must use another color, stick to a darker color choice.
    3. Keep text left aligned. End-users can read text easier if it stays to the left of the page.
      • If you must center align, use it sparingly and only for titling if needed. Do NOT center align multiple lines of text on a page.
    4. Always paste as plain text to keep the style consistent so that it looks professional and is determined by the current template.
    5. When using images within the text body:
      • Use photos taken by a student or employee that are clean and high quality, or stock photography that you are authorized to use.
      • Using older/pixelated images is discouraged.
      • Refrain from using animated gifs.
      • Right or left align images to the text so that it allows the text to wrap around it (check mobile appearance to verify wrapping looks okay).
    6. If you want text separated into columns, use the proper page layout and multiple content apps. Do NOT use a Table App. Tables are for data only.
    7. When you need to provide titles above your content, turn on the app name in the app options for a clean, simple, consistent look that matches the template.
    8. Keep pages simple. Do not overload them with too much content that requires an end-user to scroll too far.
