Message from the Superintendent

  • Mary Evans

Welcome to the Nittanyville Area School District website and our school district. I am proud to be superintendent of a school district which has built its reputation on providing exemplary educational programs for our fast-growing student population.

    Why Nittanyville Excels

    Community

We are fortunate to have a community that supports our school system and our students. Voters continuously embrace our schools by consistently passing school bond issues to accommodate our rapid growth and other student needs. In November, 2018, the voters approved a $112 million bond package that includes funding to refurbish and expand existing schools and provides for a new middle school.

    Academics

Instructional programs remain the top priority for our district and we are currently adding science labs at all of our schools - elementary through high school. Additionally, we are pleased to offer 3 new Advanced Placement courses at Joseph Vincent High:

    1. Art History
    2. Computer Science A
    3. Macroeconomics

We are also particularly proud that VHS was recently named an International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) school, an honor bestowed on less than 50 high schools in the state!

    Staff & Parents

In light of our continued growth and development, we have a solid foundation built upon an experienced and caring staff. The accomplishments of our students grow year after year. Parents speak with pride about our schools and continue to volunteer their time and services. Last year, our district recorded 316,600 volunteer hours from parents and community members; the commitment and support we receive from our community is fantastic.
