Laminated Floor Decals

Proposals will be received until 5:00 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2020 from qualified vendor for printing, cutting, and laminating floor decals at specified size, color and shape. Proposals shall be emailed, to the Issuing Department shown above and the subject shall bear the name of this Request for Proposal. It is the sole responsibility of the Proposer to ensure that its proposal reaches the Issuing Department by the designated date and hour indicated above.
Purpose & Project Vision
The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit responses from vendors that are qualified to submit a bid that includes all components needed to provide printed, laminated, and cut to shape floor decals on a durable material to withstand foot traffic on multiple surfaces in each of our 25 schools in the Craven County School System.
Proposed floor decals must be provided with durable, non-skid laminate to withstand foot traffic in hallways, restrooms, classrooms, cafeterias and any other traffic areas within the school or facility.Written proposals shall address the vendor’s experience and ability to perform the defined services in a timely manner.
Project Overview
- Provide price quote to include finished product that meets our specifications.
- Provide samples of floor decals with exact materials used for the finished product to Craven County Schools.
- Provide finished floor decals to include sizes listed:
- 10,000 3” Vinyl floor decals printed 1 color circles cut to size. Material must be at least 10 mil with a non-skid laminate of at least 5 mil thickness.
- 15,000 10” Vinyl floor decals 1 color circles cut to size. Material must be at least 10 mil with a non-skid laminate of at least 5 mil thickness.
- Deadline for product delivery to be 30 days from notice. Proceed on half the order and the other half within 45 days from notice to proceed including weekends and holidays
- Artwork and layout provided by Nittanyville is owned by none other than Nittanyville and shall not be used for any other purposes aside from this proposal. It shall not be shared or sold to any other entity.
- Floor decal material must be compatible with multiple surfaces including: VCT, carpet, concrete, terrazzo, and ceramic. Material shall be durable, but not damage the surface of the substrate.
Selection ProcessThe proposals received by the submittal deadline will be evaluated by a selection committee comprised of representatives of Craven County Schools.
The committee will review and identify the vendor or vendors that are most qualified and responsive to the services requested. Interviews will be conducted as the committee requires further assessment. The successful vendor will be notified once an award/contract has been approved by the Superintendent and/or the Craven County Schools Board of Education.

- Experience of the vendor, individuals assigned to the project
- References and previous project descriptions
- Proposed approach and methodology for conducting the requested items
- Proposed schedule for completing tasks identified

It should provide a straight forward, concise delineation of the capabilities to perform the services sought by Craven County Schools. School Bus Mobile Surveillance System Upgrades

Purpose & Project Vision
The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit responses from firms that are qualified to provide a bid that includes all components needed to upgrade our current school bus mobile surveillance system upgrade for Craven County Board of Education.
Project Overview
- Use cellular data transmission only, no IEEE 802.11 WiFi to be used for video and audio transmission.
- Provide a turnkey solution inclusive of installation, software/ cloud hosting service, unlimited licenses for viewing/ management, cellular data plan, support, and training.
- Provide clientless, web-based software such that no software client agent must be installed or supported on Craven County PC’s. Access to all video, including video stored on DVR Drives, should be available via web-based cloud software.
- Cloud Video Sharing via Link: Must be able to share video files with a unique link and cloud generated password.
- Must have the option to add 2-way hands-free audio communications
- DVR must be certified on and support Verizon and ATT&T networks without need for external router.
- Web Base cloud software should have built in Maintenance module, Stop Arm Review and alert features, Real-Time - DVR health reporting, Real Time – Vehicle Alarms.
- DVR needs to support 16 Channels and a POE switch for Stop Arm Capability.
- Web Based Software needs to have Live streaming video feature that can be viewed from a mobile App.
- Web Based Software to have Real time (Live) GPS.
- Products must be compatible with existing Cameras.

The Contractor agrees to provide Driver Education to eligible enrolled students of the public school system of Nittanyville in accordance with the Driver Education program and curriculum plan adopted by NSD and the Contractor. Enrolled students, covered by this agreement, will be taught pursuant to the provisions of Motor Vehicle Laws of North Carolina, Article 14, Government Statues 20-322 through 20-324, consisting of thirty (30) hours classroom education and six (6) hours of behind-the-wheel training. The Contractor will maintain for inspection a mileage log indicative of that instruction. The Contractor will be solely responsible for administering the NC DMV/DPI Driver Education Proficiency exam in accordance with State guidelines. Students who take the DMV/DPI proficiency test and complete it successfully are waived from the classroom instruction. These students must still take a minimum of six (6) hours of actual behind-the-wheel instruction. Contractor agrees to provide a separate reduced fee schedule for the students participating in the six (6) hours of behind-the-wheel instruction.
Vehicles
All vehicles used in this program must meet all requirements of the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles. Each vehicle shall be equipped with dual controlled, automatic transmission, with right-side mirror. The Contractor shall provide to the NSD documentation indicating that the vehicles used in the performance of the Contract shall be approved by the DMV, if requested to do so. The Contractor shall provide vehicles at his/her expense including but not limited to expenses for equipment, gasoline, oil, maintenance and insurance. The Contractor at his/her expense shall have each vehicle inspected at least once each semester for safety by a qualified mechanic and shall maintain an inspection log for each vehicle. The NSD may, at its own expense, inspect each vehicle as deemed necessary for compliance with vehicle equipment requirements and shall be provided with a copy of said maintenance log at any time upon request. The Contractor will have available a sufficient number of vehicles to insure that the program can be ongoing even in cases of maintenance or mechanical problems.
Cellular Phones
The Contractor shall provide and maintain a cellular telephone in each vehicle utilized pursuant to this agreement for coordinating and emergency use.
Monitoring Instruction
The Contractor shall allow an authorized representative of the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles and/or the NSD to monitor, at reasonable times and places, instruction given in the classroom and in each vehicle utilized pursuant to this agreement, upon request.
Textbooks
The System agrees to make available the Drive Right textbooks currently owned by the System which provides the necessary curriculum information for all eligible enrolled students. Any damage to textbooks shall be paid by said student before receiving their North Carolina Driver Education Certificate. The Contractor is responsible for the inventory all books. The Contractor may submit a price per student that reflects our provision of a text or a price in which the Contractor provides the text.
Compliance with Other Requirements
The Contractor shall comply and continue to comply with all applicable requirements of the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles. In addition, the Contractor shall meet the requirements set out in subsection (a), (b) and (c) of Section .0500 of the Division of Motor Vehicles and shall utilize only those instructors who are licensed driver education instructors by the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles and who, to the satisfaction of the NSD, and the Contractor, are competent to train students. This information will be maintained by the Contractor and copies provided to the NSD upon request.
Instruction
The Contractor shall employ driver education instructors who are certified by SBE in driver education or who meet the requirements established by the SBE and DMV for non-certified status. Driver education instructors must also meet the requirements of NSD. The Contractor shall ensure that instructors provide supervision of students at all times while on school grounds. This includes remaining with students until other adult supervision arrives or students are picked up from the school site.
Transporting Students
Contractor will not transport student(s) to class nor from class to their home.
Affirmative Action Employment
The Contractor shall maintain an affirmative action employment plan satisfactory to the NSD Board of Education.
Indemnity and Insurance Requirements
The Contractor shall indemnify and save harmless the NSD, its officers, agents, employees and assigns from and against all loss, cost, damages, expenses, attorney fees, and liability caused by an accident or other occurrence resulting in bodily injury, including death, sickness and disease to any person; or damage or destruction to property, real or personal, arising directly or indirectly from operations, products or services rendered or purchased under this Contract; and from liens arising out of the Contractor’s performance or non-performance of this Agreement or the Contractor’s failure to comply with any applicable law or regulation.
