Ms. Jemma Simmons Ms. Simmons previously served as the Coordinator of Curriculum and Instruction in the Storybook School District. In that position, she was responsible for all aspects of the middle school curriculum and instruction, the district-wide coordination and supervision of the World (Foreign) Language Program, and the implementation of a new language arts curriculum. Prior to that, she served as the principal of Bluffington Elementary School for five years in the same district. Ms. Simmons was also the principal of Third Street Middle School and an assistant principal and reading specialist in the Sunnydale Area School District.

After receiving a B.A. from Penn State University, Ms. Simmons earned a Master’s Degree, Reading Specialist Certificate, Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility, and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania. While studying at UPenn, she was awarded the Nicholas Fury Outstanding Dissertation Award.
